Sleep Fire Alarm

It is reported that Bashr b. Al-Hârith said, “I was once with Al-Fudayl b. ‘Ayyâd in Makkah. He sat with us until midnight, then went and did tawâf until the morning. I said, ‘Abû ‘Alî! Won’t you sleep?’ He replied, ‘Woe to you! And is there anyone who hears a mention of the Fire and then feels like sleeping!?’”

Abû Bakr Al-Daynûrî, Al-Mujâlasah wa Jawâhir Al-‘Ilm, article 723.

    waalikum assalam
Sleep paralysis is a normal occurrence….everyone suffers from it except that some people suffer it longer than usual. We all are paralyzed during our sleep so that we do not act out our dreams. But some people remain paralyzed until after waking for minutes.

"Sleep paralysis is a common condition marked by the inability to move the body or limbs, either during the onset of sleep or upon waking. It is sometimes accompanied by hypnagogic hallucinations. People with sleep paralysis should be assured that they dont have any mental or serious medical illness."

Assalaamu Alaikum, what is sleep paralysis may be caused by the jinn as well, particularly when they sit on the chest. I have experienced it myself. I would suggest that you do some research into the symptoms of jinn possession (disturbing nightmares, etc.) in order to rule this out insha'Allah.
