The Disease of this Ummah and its Doctor
It is reported that Sufyân Al-Thawrî – Allâh have mercy on him – said, “Wealth is the disease of this Ummah, and the scholar is the doctor of this Ummah. So if the doctor brings the disease to himself, how will he cure the people?”

Assalaamu'alaykum warahmatullaah
Nice website – Mashaa-Allaah
Could you put the arabic text and then the translation for these beautiful sayings – learning the original text by heart would be great.
Baarakallaahu feekum
Ibn Omar
Wa alaykumus-salam wa rahmatullah,
Barakallahu feekum. The suggestion to include the Arabic text of narrations is desirable and has been suggested before. For reasons stated in previous responses to this idea, only the English translation is included. In sha Allâh I’ll look further into whether I can include the Arabic text, but for the time being, just translations are provided.
Jazakumullahu khayran for the suggestion anyway.
